Rune pendant – letter ‘S’ – antique Argentium silver wax seal
The ‘Sowilo’ (also known as the ‘Sol’) rune represents ‘Sun’ – wholeness and energy.
It is the origin of the letter ‘S’

The Runes I make are based on The Elder Futhark. This is the writing system used by Germanic peoples in the 2nd to 10th Centuries and is considered to be the basis for our current alphabet.
I make a melted puddle of Argentium Silver resembling a wax seal. I solder the Rune I have made to the silver puddle.
I make each Rune by hand cutting and shaping Argentium silver square wire. I fuse the Rune into its form before attaching the completed Rune to the Melted Wax design pendant I have prepared for it.
