copper square post earrings
I start with a heavy sheet of solid copper and cut out the little squares. Then I hand etch each one before I dap them into a gentle curve. Argentium silver posts are soldered on back and finished off with Argentium silver butterflies.
Earrings are 1.0 cm long by 1.0 cm wide. They weigh 1.8 grams.
The shiny Copper is not coated and will naturally tarnish – if tarnish is not desired you can use a polishing cloth or fresh lime to return copper to bright and shiny. Antique Copper is permanently antiqued and will not require cleaning. Copper with a patina is coated to preserve the patina and should not be cleaned.
