Although we handmake and triple-check every piece of jewellery for quality, sometimes an item needs to be returned. Or perhaps you received a gift, and it’s just not your style. Whatever the error might be, we have no problem accepting returns and exchanges.

Below is everything you need to know about what can and cannot be returned/exchanged. We kindly ask that you have a close look at our sizing charts before you make a purchase. If you’re still feeling stuck on what size to order, ask us for guidance via email. Returning or exchanging items is a hassle for everyone involved, so let’s be kind to each other in this online shopping world. Let’s make sure you get the perfect jewellery without spending too much time at the post office.

If you purchased your A & R Jewellery from a gallery, you should contact them to arrange a return or exchange.

Items that CAN be returned or exchanged
– Any full-priced item that is in its original condition with the tags still on can be returned or exchanged
– If we have accidentally sent the wrong item or the wrong size, we will gladly do a return or exchange (we’ll cover the shipping costs too!)
– If there is a physical defect and the mistake is ours, we will gladly do a return or exchange (yup, we’ll cover the shipping costs for this mistake too)

Items that CANNOT be returned or exchanged
– Sale items cannot be returned or exchanged (also, these pieces are not eligible for additional discounts)
– Once you’ve removed the tag from your A & R Jewellery, it cannot be returned or exchanged
– Custom designs and custom sizing cannot be returned or exchanged. We try our very best to make sure you are thrilled with your custom piece so that no return becomes necessary.
– If an item is not returned in its original condition, the item cannot be returned or exchanged
– If an item has been damaged due to improper packaging and shipping, it cannot be returned or exchanged.

– If you’re returning an item to us and it gets lost in the mail, the return or exchange can no
longer happen. Please get a tracking number to avoid this problem.

Terms and conditions for items being returned or exchanged
– If you’re exchanging one item for another and the price of your new piece is lower, the difference will be returned in the form of store credit
– When shipping us a returned item, we kindly ask you to use Canada Post registered mail and include a tracking number
– If we have made a mistake and sent you an incorrect or damaged piece, we will pay all shipping costs
– If you made a mistake or changed your mind about an item, you will be responsible for all shipping costs

Here is how we will process all returns:
1. Contact A & R Jewellery by email to request a refund within 14 days of your purchase date. We like to make exceptions for gift items, so returns can be made within 30 days of the purchase date during the Christmas holidays.
2. All returns must be pre-approved by us. Once we’ve heard your story and approved your return, we will give you our address so you can mail us back your jewellery. 
3. The items must be returned unworn, in their original packaging (tags attached), and with no damage or alterations made.
4. There must be proof of purchase in the form of a receipt. If the returned item was a gift, please send us the name of your gift giver.
5. Once we have inspected your returned items, we will refund you in the same method as the original purchase. This process will take up to 5 business days from when we receive your package. No refunds will be given for shipping costs.

If you’re hoping for an exchange, email us right away to find out if we have an acceptable item to send back to you. All items are handmade and will be slightly different from each other, so we will have to chat and find the best option for you.

We want you to know that all our jewellery is handmade by Angela and Ryan, our founders, in their studio in Creston, BC. Since every item is handmade, every item is unique in its own way. We try our best to keep all our pieces as true to the photos as possible but keep in mind, it may not be an exact

We take great pride in creating our jewellery and want you to be happy with your purchase. We will repair or replace any piece that was not carefully created and deemed defective for one year from the date of purchase. We will not be responsible for what we will consider ‘rough wear’ or any
product misuse.
