pearl on river ring
The River Ring is one of my newest endeavours. I melt Argentium silver pieces until they are liquid, and pour this molten silver into a long rectangle shape. Then, with lots of annealing and rolling, I slowly form a long ring form. More annealing to bend this heavy piece of silver into a ring shape. Then fuse the ends together, and the hammering and grinding can start. Pretty soon I have a rough ring – which I love. I only polish out the middle – the rough, untamed edges are what I am looking for. I call it River because it seems all calm and serene in the middle, but on the edges, where the water meets the land, is where you can see the turbulent waters.
The pearl on this ring is very deep – so the bezel is tall to hold it. A natural pearl.
Ring is a size 10.5.
The front of the ring is 1.2 cm wide. The back of the ring is 0.9 cm wide. The weight is 10.6 grams.
WATER * I Change * FLOWING FORMLESSNESS – Transformative – Playful – Balance – Passionate
Argentium Silver is a high quality silver with germanium added. Argentium silver is whiter, harder, slower to tarnish, purer (nickel-free) and has a higher silver content of 935 (sterling is 925)
Other sizes or stones may be available. All of our rings are handmade – so no two rings are ever the same.
